Birgitta Rabe is Reader in Economics at the University of Essex and Co-Investigator of Understanding Society and of the ESRC Centre on Micro Social Change. Birgitta is interested in human capital development, specifically the role of parental and public investments into children and how these investments interact. Areas of expertise include childhood obesity, childcare, school quality and maternal labour supply.
