Eoin McLaughlin is Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University. He was previously at University College Cork, the University of St Andrews, and the University of Edinburgh. He is an honorary senior lecturer at the University of St Andrews and a Research Affiliate of the Queen’s University Centre for Economic History. He has published widely on the economics of sustainable development and on the economic history of Ireland. Research interests include microfinance, land reform, fiscal sustainability, risk, wealth accounting, and wellbeing.
